Traveling with animals
Are you travelling with your pet or service animal? Pets and service animals in a cage or on a leash are authorized in the terminal.
Before you book
Each airline has its own policies for travelling with animals, so check with your carrier before booking to get all the details.
Please note that your animal will be subject to a search and must be transported in an appropriate cage. Visit the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) website to prepare ahead of time.
When you return
If your animal travelled as cargo, your airline will let you know where to pick them up.
For transborder and international flights, animals must also go through customs. Find out more by contacting the government of the country you’re flying to, and reach out to your airline for details about entry requirements and required documents.
For information about animals entering Canada, including cats and dogs, visit the Government of Canada’s website.
